Spirit Squads
Auburn Cheerleaders Andrea Duren, Krista Klumpp, Emily Ann Quattlebaum and Trent Weaver, Auburn Tiger Paw Captain Adrianne Bazzell and Head Aubie Justin Shugart were recently named to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. They attended a reception in their honor on April 9, 2008. Only 130 of Auburn University's 24,137 students are selected for this honor each year.

Congratulations to 2008-2009 Head Cheerleader, Trent Weaver, for being selected as the 2008 Foy Spirit Award Scholarship Recipient
Trent Weaver, 2008-2009 Auburn Head Cheerleader, was recently selected as one of two Auburn students to receive the 2008 Foy Spirit Award Scholarship. The Foy Spirit Award is a $1000 scholarship given each year in honor of former Dean of Students Dr. James E. Foy and his late wife, Mrs. Emmalu Foy. The award recognizes an Auburn student who "exhibits exceptional qualities of leadership, character, and a commitment to the Auburn community". Trent has just completed his second year as a member of the Auburn Cheerleaders and is a Junior majoring in Electrical Engineering from Birmingham, AL.

Congratulations to the 2008-2009 Auburn Tiger Paws Dance Team. Auditions were held April 25-26, 2008. The Tiger Paws perform at Auburn's home football games and men's and women's basketball games. The Auburn Cheerleaders cheer at Auburn Football, Men's and Women's Basketball, Gymnastics and Volleyball.
